I've recently, (and unexpectedly, become an Atmosphere Field Reporter after submitting an idea that I thought might be somewhat interesting...
What if I started a publication that chronicled life in the rural parts of a State that's often ignored or misunderstood by most people that simply regard Florida as a monolith, a parody of itself...a place that's often regarded as a combination of crowded beaches and tacky theme parks...
Would people outside of that environment even care ?
I thought that perhaps it might be worth a shot...if, for no other reason, than to be able to point to this publication as a method of dismantling presuppositions and biases about a portion of this Country that few have visited, or have any understanding of.
What I'll be posting:
My own photographic work, thoughts related to my experiences, relevant links to other creators and contributors, hopefully some insight from neighbors around the state, some suggestions with regard to places to visit that you might have never heard of... relevant news that you might not find elsewhere.
What I won't be posting:
Rants and complaints about things you can find elsewhere.
I certainly hope my efforts are at least revealing, if not entertaining...
I'll let you be the judge.
